"I used to enjoy the For Five in Midtown Manhattan years ago. But this DC location, the cold brew tasted burnt and was quite expensive."

"It's a relaxed coffee shop with good service everytime I've been here. The gentleman who works most morning and the lady on the weekends have always been nice to me. I've had the pancakes and a few pastries over time and they are also good."

"I walked by For Five Coffee Roasters and decided to stop by since they are relatively new to the neighborhood. I hadn’t been to that part of the city in a while and it wasn’t there when I last strolled that part of DC. When I did a quick search of the backstory of this coffee roaster, I’d like the fact that they expressed a commitment to crafting “distinct havens for coffee connoisseurs….” Whether that translated into a distinct experience for a tea connoisseur was a risk I was willing to take as I simply liked the phraseology that they chose for their website. Upon my first sip of the iced oat milk Matcha latte I had the pleasant familiar feeling of having the first sip of a good drink. I was happy that they had honey on hand because at the time I wanted a bit of sweetness to round off my drink experience. They had a large bright space with plenty of room to spread out if you choose to stay a while, and also they had a generous amount of seating in front of the café. I’ll definitely stop through when I’m in the area again."

"Absolutely loved this place! The kid who served me was incredible: so kind, attentive, and an absolute sweetheart. I was unsure what to order and he took the time to explain the options and recommended a drink based on my preferences, which turned out to be perfect. The coffee was amazing—perfectly made and honestly one of the best cups I’ve had in a while. Great vibes, great service, and great coffee. I’ll definitely be back here."

"I really like the place. Comfortable seating. Good WiFi. Nice design. The only issues is that the prices have gone through the roof. A Cobb salad with chicken is $26. Espresso with tax is $6. That is too bad."

"The atmosphere is stylish and welcoming, with lots of natural light and a spacious seating area — perfect for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or just enjoying a slow afternoon. It’s a good change from some of the more cramped coffee shops in the city. I had their seasonal specialty iced Macha Latte, which was refreshing. The price was on the higher end."

"Not sure why the reviews are so low. I think it’s a phenomenal coffee shop in a gorgeous space. They also have a full food menu with good fresh options. Highly recommend, particularly for working out of. My only criticism is that the WiFi seems to be lacking, making it difficult to use your video during meetings."
